What is an X-date on PSX?

The X-date (ex-date) is the first trading day on which a share trades without its announced dividend. Shares bought before the X-date receive the dividend; shares bought on or after it do not, and the price usually drops by about the dividend amount that morning. Each stock's page shows its full dividend history, with the yield every payment paid.
